India Day 3: Journey to Agra

Today is the India train experience where I brought a Chair Car seat (CC) from New Delhi to Agra with train number 12002 depart at 6am and reach Agra at 8am. There are breakfast included for this train 12002. Once I reach Agra, there are many tuk tuk offer for hotel room recommendation. I was recommended to Hotel Maya which I am not interested. Then owner recommend Ray of Maya opposite Hotel Maya with better option of luxury. It cost around Rs1300 for a very good & clean room. The hotel is near the Taj Mahal west Gate.

Without hassle I engage the tuk tuk for Fatehpur sikri for Rs1500 by car where its take 1.5 hours a way to fatehpur sikri. Once reach fatehpur sikri then tuk tuk stop me at the corner where some guide trying to scam me into taking their service because I can’t see the entrance.

Take note! Go into the parking Bay and walk towards and by pass the souvenir shop and you will see the government bus to take you to the entrance with a fee of Rs10. Below is the scenery and attraction of Fatehpur Sikri.

After Fatehpur Sikri, I took the tuk tuk service to visit Baby Taj and Mehtab Barj (opposite Taj Mahal) for a beautiful of Taj Mahal scenery. Normally the tuk tuk charge Rs500 for Agra Fort, Baby Taj and Mehtab Barj.

India Day 2: Delhi day tour to Red Fort & Qutub Minar

It is consider a first day at India where I start a day at Delhi as I have not get any train tickets for my journey.

So after breakfast I walk to the Delhi train station. There are many signage to the tourist bureau center at the 1st floor of the train station.

It is convenient for tourist to purchase all the train tickets journey. I got my train journey DELHI-AGRA-JAIPUR-DELHI. Awesome and it was so easy.

The total train ticket price cost Rs515 (DELHI-AGRA, CC), Rs695 (AGRA-JAIPUR, 2AC) & Rs485 (JAIPU-DELHI, CC).

Then I continue with my day attraction visit to first stop which is the red fort where I took the Delhi metro to Chandhi Chowk.

Normally for tourist, there would be many tuk tuk or tricycle will approach you and then they like to bring you to souvenir or jewellery shop. Just beware and I pay Rs100 just for the short tricycle.

The red fort is not very impressive with the normal heritage entrance of Rs250.









Then after red fort I quickly take the metro to Qutub Minar for my second heritage. The metro is quite a distance from the entrance where I walk about 20 to 30 minutes. The tuk tuk is just approax Rs50 per way. Qutub Minar is a great site where the tower is restore by few generation king which show different patching like bad replacement which totally a different understanding which gain the recognition. A fascinating site that shouldn’t miss.

India Day 1: Arrival for the Golden triangle journey

Day 1: Arrival Arrived at night to Delhi airport with some culture shock. 1st experience: There are segregation of pick up first class and second class. Was not aware that our hotel is second class which is normal for all budget. Second class pick up is outside the airport building where there are many people which you will get confuse (as for first class is right after the arrival gate e.g. Marriott etc. ). Welcome to India!!!

2nd experience: India road is similar to some other Asia country where the road is full of cars and motorcycles without lane and is so messy. Additional to the stress is the driver sleeping while driving and I was terrified for almost an hour to reach Hotel Amax Inn at Paharganj.

Luckily I am safe to reach the hotel and check in with the price Rs1150 for a night with airport pickup. Room is below average and I was so lucky to arrive on a Ganesh god festival with lots of noise of drum in the middle of the night. It is a worst first day experience in India.

Day 14 & 15 – Kathmandu Durbar Square & Farewell

It is a relaxing day at Kathmandu starting with a light breakfast before walking to our final world heritage sites Kathmandu Durbar Square where we are so lucky to be able to say hi to the living goddess.

The famous freak street is just around Kathmandu Durbar Square which is nothing special but just a street full of café and nice coffee house.






Our afternoon is a shopping escapade at Thamel with some souvenir and also trekking gears.

The next day would be our journey back to KL and end of our Nepal expedition.

Day 13 – A day trip at Kathmandu Valley

We would like to have a nice day trip around Kathmandu and we booked a day trips with Krishna.

In the morning the car bring us to Pasupatinath temple where it is famous for the traditional cremation ceremony at Kathmandu.

Then we proceed to Boudanath Stupa temple in the afternoon.

Then we drop off at the Monkey temple or Swayambunath Temple for our lunch and beautiful view of Kathmandu.

After lunch the car bring us to the White Gumba but it is not open but we manage to have a glimpse of the view and then ending our day at Krishna home for dinner. We were invited to a local home for dinner and it is a nice experience with the local Nepal family life.

Day 12 – Dhulikel to Chagunarayan to Bhaktapur

Our final day of the trekking trip is mostly visiting places of interest like Bhaktapur and Chagunarayan temple where this temple is bundle together with the Kathmandu world heritage sites iisting.

Below is the Guesthouse at Dhulikel after the trekking: -

We took a bus from Dhulikel to Bhaktapur passing Banepa and we getting down at Suryabinayak. Bhaktapur is walking distance from Suryabinayak stop. Then we walk to Bhaktapur heritage sites and this city is a really a authentic heritage city with beautiful old brick brown building in the whole city. There are many tourist would like to stay at this heritage areas which make its little expensive for food and meal. Then the driver meet us at Bhaktapur to pick us to visit the Temple of Chagunarayan.

The temple Chagunarayan is the oldest and beautiful temple with amazing temple architecture.

We had our lunch at Chagunarayan with a trekking mountain view where we enjoy the little mountain that we trekked at the lunch place.

We plan to buy a dinner for the tour manager and the guide.
